Rick Montgomery

VP of Construction

Rick joins ResiShares as the Vice President of Construction. Bringing many years of property management and field operations experience with him. Having worked with some of the largest companies in the property management industry. Rick’s motto of “go build something”, reflects his earnest belief that building the best team results in the best outcomes and the most satisfying careers.

Most recently prior to joining ResiShares, Rick successfully filled the role of President of Construction with Realty Logix, SVP of Construction and Service Quality with DLP Real Estate Capital and SVP/Chief of Field Operations for Streetlane Homes / 643. Holding direct responsiblity for all physical aspects of their operations. During this time, Rick has created and improved the structure, policies, and best practices for the field teams. With a large focus on, reducing inefficiencies, increasing use of technology, and improving quality of work. Leading to the lowering field cost, increased resident satisfaction, and providing more and better services to his residents, internal customers and external clients.

Throughout his career Rick has enjoyed developing Construction, Capital Expenditures, Maintenance and Risk Management departments of several national property industry leaders. As an Executive Vice President, he was one of the original architects of Progress Residential’s platform.

Rick’s past responsibilities has allowed him to be involved in almost every aspect of property management. Filling leadership roles in both single family and multi-family organizations such as Resource Residential, AIMCO, Avalon Bay Communities and Aspen Square Management. Starting his career as one of the early key contributors to Arbor Properties’ inception and growth.

Rick is an alumnus Northern Michigan University and has made industry focused education a continuing pursuit. Earning several certifications and master designations. He is an active member of several multi-family, building owner and construction organizations such as the National Apartment Association, Building Owners and Managers Association and Associated Builders and Contractors. Rick sits on the professional advisory board of two colleges. He enjoys using his experience to give back through charitable organizations like Rebuilding Together and Habitat for Humanity.
